How, when and why we use personal information
This privacy notice tells you what to expect when Refulgens Limited collects personal information from you on this web site. Please also follow the links to read our terms and conditions for use of this site, and our cookie policy.

Visitors to our web site
You do not have to give any personal information to use most of this site. However, if you wish to communicate with us, or subscribe or contribute content to our blog, we will ask to collect the following personal information from you:

Your name
Your email address

When we collect personally identifiable information from you through the site, we will be up front about it and explain what we intend to do with it. You may also choose to provide additional voluntary personal information, written by you in a text box for example. We store personal information only for as long as we have reason to keep it.

Use of cookies by Refulgens Limited
You can read more about how we use cookies on our Cookies page.

WordPress and 1&1 Internet Ltd and Google Analytics
We use third party software called WordPress, to publish our web site and blog. WordPress software requires visitors that want to post a comment or subscribe to the blog to enter a name and email address. The site is hosted at 1&1 Internet Ltd in the UK. We may also use Google Analytics. Each of these products and services use standard log files to collect anonymous information about users’ activity on the site, for example, the number of users viewing pages on the site, and to monitor and report on the effectiveness of the site. Refulgens Limited does not make any attempt to derive the identities of those visiting the web site either from these log files or by cross-referencing the log files with information held elsewhere on the Internet.

People who call our business phone number
When you call the business phone number, where published on the web site, Refulgens Limited may be able to see the telephone number you are calling from if you have Calling Line Identification (CLI) enabled with your telecoms provider. Please refer to your telecoms provider if you are unsure how to control this. When we call you, where you have given us your telephone number, the incoming call from us will display our business telephone number. We will only call in response to an enquiry from you, or in relation to the provision of a service that you have requested. We do not do either automated or manual telephone marketing. Refulgens Limited does not record telephone calls.

People who email us
Refulgens Limited uses the webmail service of 1&1 Internet Ltd. Any email sent to us, including any attachments, may be monitored and used for reasons of security and compliance. Email monitoring or blocking software may be used. Please be aware that you have a responsibility to ensure that any email you send to us is within the law.
Where enquiries are submitted to us, using the form on the site, we will only use the information supplied to deal with the enquiry and any subsequent required actions, and to check on the level of service we provide.

People who use Refulgens Limited services
We need to hold details of people who have requested a service in order to provide it. However, we only use these details to provide the service the person has requested, and for other closely-related and limited purposes. For example, we might use information about people who have subscribed to our blog to carry out a survey requesting feedback on the content and how it could be improved.
When people do subscribe to our blog, they can cancel their subscription at any time, and are given an easy way of doing this.
Please be mindful that if you publish something publicly on our blog then anyone with an Internet service will have access to it. If you later decide to remove your content, it may be that the content will remain stored elsewhere on Internet and will be outside of Refulgens Limited control.
We will also keep a record of any financial transactions you make with us, only as required by law, and may use the personal information you provide to make credit checks relating to the financial transaction or to recover debt.
